Mentioning in Microsoft Teams via Power Automate

This topic has been continuously raised by multiple people I’ve been talking to. How can a user be mentioned in Microsoft Teams when a message is sent from Power Automate? This issue seemed to never been really possible for us, Power Users, until couple days ago Microsoft released new action in Microsoft Teams set in Power Automate called: “Get @mention token for a user”. It’s even cooler, because it works with Adaptive Cards too!

Introduction to Adaptive Cards

Some time ago a customer asked me about a more effective user experience when approving tasks in workflows. The reason was that a manager, who was always involved at some time, was on the position, that if he is just sent an e-mail with approval request, this e-mail is going to simply get lost in his inbox and therefore he wouldn’t be able to respond. On the other hand he is using Microsoft Teams often, so asked if he can be notified about a task approval via that app.

European Collaboration Summit 2017 – Recap

This year’s Collaboration Summit in Zagreb has just ended, but comments related to the event are still showing on Twitter (look yourself here). I was present at the event for the first time and even though, that many of the news that were presented had already been announced during the SP Virtual Summit (here), I found it very worth to be there. Presenters were making many “deep dives” into the new features being ahead of us in Office 365. Especially Dan Holme showed a live demo of how the new Communication Sites and refreshed Team Sites are going to look like and how the content authoring is going to change.
